IGO Test Drive Day

Last week ZERO Automotive hosted Chris Carr at our facility in Edwardstown. It was Chris’s first visit to our facility, so we were excited to be able to show him our in-house capabilities and discuss at length where we were in our commercialisation process. We also appreciated Chris sharing his thoughts and drivers for electrification of mines and some of the benefits that will bring to both IGO and the wider mining community. We then went for a test drive up into the Adelaide Hills in OZ Minerals – Carrapateena’s next vehicle VE002, and we are very grateful to them for allowing us to use their vehicle for this purpose. On return we were able to discuss some key, but not insignificant, changes between the dual cab LC79 versions that we have done to date, and Barminco’s first single cab version that will go to the IGO Nova mine.

Thanks to everyone involved in the visit, and especially to Chris for taking the time to visit us while in Adelaide.
