Last month ZERO Automotive commissioned its first single cab zero emissions, ultra-safe ZED70 Ti EV Platform, following on from its dual cab deliveries. It was mobilised to Barminco in Perth who installed mining spec equipment before it was sent to the IGO Nova nickel-copper-cobalt operation in Western Australia.

After familiarising Operations, Maintenance and Emergency Services personnel with the vehicle, and conducting some validation and data gathering runs, the vehicle was customised for and successfully passed its underground certification process.

This is the second vehicle delivered as part of the METS Ignited Funding Agreement previously awarded to Zero Automotive. It also forms part of the trials being done by Barminco in their role as lead of the Electric Mine Consortium light and auxiliary vehicle working group, of which Zero Automotive is also a participant.
